Dr. Raphael Bundage, Director of Music

Raphael Bundage is a native Texan. He holds degrees from Texas Christian University and the Eastman Conservatory of Music. He has conducted the Sanctuary Choir since 1999 and became Director of Music in 2012. The Sanctuary Choir sings at 11 o’clock worship services and also presents several concerts annually with the Nashville Symphony. Recent performances have included J.S. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, Handel’s Israel in Egypt, Mozart’s Requiem and Honneger’s King David.

In addition to his work at First Presbyterian, Dr. Bundage is also the Director of Choral Activities and Opera at Middle Tennessee State University and is the State Director of Tennessee’s Governor’s School for the Arts.
