The Chancel Bells are an intermediate-level handbell choir, formed in the fall of 2016 and featuring members from both Bellissima and Ringtones, two previous FPC bell choirs. They rehearse in the chancel at 6:00 P.M. most Thursday evenings and strive to play about once per month.
Bell ringers with some previous experience are encouraged to join. If interested, please contact Nick Bergin at 615-298-9538 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

Thanks to a generous anonymous donation by a lover of handbells, these newly made bells joined FPC’s four octaves of Malmark bells on the Wednesday after Easter of 2012. The C3 and F3 bells play as the C two octaves below middle C and the F immediately above that. Made of aluminum, they are considerably lighter in weight than the bronze ones of the same pitch and were rung for the first time on April 15, 2012 by Eric Near, when the Ringtones played “Now the Green Blade Rises” for the opening voluntary. You’re invited to climb to the balcony to see these “ginormous” (as described by one ringer) additions.
Soli Deo gloria!
